Foundations In Charity
Foundations in Charity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation created by Bishop Frank Caggiano as a foundation to support the work of catholic charities. The foundation is run by a fiduciary board of trustees made up of lay volunteers.
Since 1916, the Catholic Church in Fairfield County, through Catholic Charities and other Catholic organizations, provided programs that feed the hungry and homebound, shelter the homeless, strengthen families, assist the physically and emotionally challenged, and deliver consultation and assistance to immigrants. As people of faith, we serve all people without regard to age, race, religion, or ability to pay. Catholic Charities is one of the largest private social service providers in Connecticut.
Please join the Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano for our Inaugural Gala on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
This first annual community to support works of charity will take place at the Italian Center in Stamford. Proceeds raised from the event will benefit the mental health programs of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County. These programs are established throughout Fairfield County and the need for services in our communities, schools and faith institutions continues to grow at an alarming rate.
Our Gala honorees are Al and Gina Barber and Bill Tommins.
