Family Loan

Established in Danbury in 2001, the purpose of the family loan program is to help low-income clients who are unable to borrow money from traditional lenders pay for work-related expenses by offering small, low-interest loans.

LOWER FAIRFIELD COUNTY PROGRAM

Location: 120 East Avenue, 2nd floor, Norwalk, CT

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Criteria for eligibility:

• Must live or work in lower Fairfield County.
• Must be employed at the same job for six months or longer.
• Must have enough income to cover monthly loan payments.
• Custodial parents of child(ren) under 18 preferred

GREATER DANBURY AREA PROGRAM

Location: 405 Main Street, Danbury, CT

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Criteria for eligibility:

• Must have lived in the 7-town greater region of Danbury for at least six months
• Must be employed at the same job for six months or longer
• Must have sufficient income to afford monthly loan payments
• Must be a custodial parent of child(ren) under 18
• Must have proper documentation, including social security number and pay stubs
