Homeless Outreach and Related Services

Catholic Charities' Homeless Outreach Services is made up of support programs dedicated to serving individuals who are experiencing homelessness, are at risk of becoming homeless, or have been identified as chronically homeless. The Homeless Outreach Services' case managers work closely with the other agencies in town, ensuring that clients of the program receive appropriate referrals and timely services. The outreach workers employ creative and tailored solutions to each client they work with. The staff also serve as liaisons and educational resources to social service providers about homeless clients, the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and the needs of homeless and at-risk clients.

Services provided by the Homeless Outreach team include meeting with homeless and at-risk individuals and providing emergency resources as needed. They meet with clients at shelters, soup kitchens, on the streets, in the woods, and under bridges. Team members provide access to benefits, food, and clothing, as well as medical, mental health, substance abuse and housing services.

The Homeless Outreach Team has an office at 405 Main Street in Danbury, CT, however, most of their time is spent out in the community engaging with clients.
